Hello. My name is Hazel. If you are reading this, I would like to thank you for taking the time to do so. There must be a reason you have searched to find me.
I’ve returned to the UK after a twenty plus -year adventure of living in two of the most beautiful places on the planet, both National Parks, and both as diverse as you could imagine.
Firstly, living in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta amongst their majestic snow-capped mountains, was an absolute joy. In winter it was a true Narnia, straight out of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ and in summer the turquoise waters of the lakes had to be seen to be believed. Living alongside so much wildlife, especially bear and elk, gave me a wider appreciation of nature outdoors.
My second adventure was living in Loreto, Baja de California, in Mexico, squeezed between the Sierra de Giganta mountain range and the Sea of Cortez. The mountains there were quite different but equally beautiful, with the Sea of Cortez at their feet, teeming with marine life. It was here that I witnessed two highlights of my life: a ‘super pod’ of dolphins, hundreds of them in every direction, and then, best of all, a visit to the world famous warm lagoon waters of Magdalena Bay, where grey whales give birth to their calves between January to April. It’s truly indescribable how you feel touching a baby and mummy whale!
Now, Northumbria is my new home with its quirky medieval market towns and their Viking/Anglo Saxon legacies, its soft rolling countryside and its sprawling windswept beaches. Its good to be back!
From a very young age I’ve been aware of a sensitivity, and its never left me. Often, much to the astonishment of adults, especially my parents, I would be aware of things before they happened. This sensitivity was quite strong by the time I entered my mid-twenties (that seems a long time ago!) but with a career and children to take up most of my time, I chose not to acknowledge it.
But for the past two decades or so it has sat comfortably in my life again and I have chosen the Tarot cards as a conduit for it, to focus on and hopefully crystallise important issues. They allow a flow of information to be communicated to the person receiving the reading in a highly visual manner.
In a nutshell – star sign Libra, only child, rewarding career in teaching/dance, much travelled (although more places on my list), two grown-up daughters, two grandchildren, happiest when attending theatre performances or social gatherings. Lucky to have friends and clients in Canada, USA, Mexico and the United Kingdom. Married for almost 25 years and I have a soft spot for cats! My passion, which has lasted well over a decade now, is making soup from fresh and organic ingredients. I’m also a big advocate of juicing and blending fruit and vegetables as a means to better health. Of course, that doesn’t mean I don’t love the odd curry now and again!
